The weird fish in the world of ocean rowers
Mar 3, 2005 17: 25 EST
Being an ocean rower or a survivor in a life raft, one of the few advantages over cruising on a "real" vessel is that you are very close to the water surface and get to have a pretty good look at your companions - the various species of fish trailing your boat.

In fact, Golden Gate rower Mick Dawson reported spotting some unidentified fish/serpent on his voyage last year. Mick left Choshi, Japan May 6th 2004 in his second attempt to reach Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, CA, USA and was rescued August 22 last year after his row boat had capsized.

Well at the end of the year, other reports of strange fish began to surface. Press reported that unknown species of fish had been discovered after the Tsunami.
The Oceanrowing Society has now published a series of images from Russia. Go check the ORS website for some of the strange fellows.
