On June 29, 2000, Henrik Krantz (33) left his home in Sweden to solo sail around the world. He was last heard from on the evening of August 27 last year, calling from Peaks harbor in Trinidad just before heading towards Argentina.
To avoid the Brazil coastline, Henrik planned to first sail east, and then turn south towards Patagonia, where he looked to arrive this past Christmas.
Henrik was never heard from again and relatives now fear a pirate attack or a hurricane. Henrik sailed "Helena" a 32 ft OE, and was an accomplished Captain - he had sailed all his life and previously skippered cruise ships outside of Hong Kong. If you have any information on M/S "Helena" please contact peter@bluesky.se or team@explorersweb.com.
